New Delhi: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is going to launch the verification of Aadhaar card holders by face identification in addition to fingerprints and eyeballs from July 1 this year.

The Authority had said in January that it will start verification from face to remove the problems caused by eliminating fingerprints due to overage or hard work in biological verification.

Checklist of Documents Required for Aadhar Card

Applicants have to submit two documents at the time of enrolment – Proof of address (POA) and Proof of Identity (POI). Any of the following documents would be accepted by the UIDAI as the identity proof of the individual. These documents have the name and photograph of the individual which qualify them to act as an identity proof.
